I promised myself last time I walked past; I would not walk past again without opening that door. Fingers crossed that next time they would be open – or this story could have ended a very different way – considering that today the Victoria Police Band were playing just outside! Alas, they were open and I was given the opportunity of a lifetime that I know I need to fulfill.
I met the amazingly talented and internationally recognized photographers who run ICON PICTURES in Little Malop Street, Geelong. I could go on for hours about what they have done, and how awesome it was to put a face to a published name – and surprisingly how start-struck I was not (kept a cool head) but that would just be a waste of your precious reading time.
I don’t really have much else to say, I just wanted to express my excitement, and to thank the guys at ICON PICTURES for your kindness and generosity. It was most inviting. I look forward to meeting with you very soon.
Phillip.

Okay, so we all know that I really enjoy finding, replacing, altering as many different wordpress blog sites as humanly possible. I can assure you I will do it again. I will either be forever trying to find ‘perfect’ blog, which represents exactly who I am. I don’t really know exactly who I am, so this could take a little while… Either that, or I will pay some extravagant amount for a professionally developed blog, that I won’t want to change it, because it cost too much!
Today however, I have something worth reading. This day (well actually, it’s evening now) embarks the beginning of a new day where I will start that enduring journey to become the photographer I have wanted to become. I know what is missing, and I know what my heart is telling me to do. Today is that pivotal moment in my life, where I know what kind of photographer I want to be – and I know how I’m going to become.
My trigger finger is polished and my arsenal is almost equipped - I can’t wait to shoot my first model with this new set-up! I know it’s going to be hard, and I welcome the challenge – I’m driving towards being the best in commercial advertising and fashion photography.
Wish me luck. I’m going to make something of this. I’m going to create something no one has ever seen before.
Phillip.
